For desalination and water reuse, Active Membranes will target the following beachhead applications:

  • High mineral content brackish groundwater – scale prevention

  • Seawater desalination – biofouling prevention and enhanced boron rejection

  • Oil & gas produced water treatment and reuse
  • Brine minimization

For POU/POE:

  • Household/offices softener & RO drinking water systems
  • In-home dialysis machines

There is the potential for substantial growth in POU/POE due to the rising demand for fresh and clean drinking water, increasing contamination, growing  population, decentralization, and increasing awareness about the advanced and innovative treatment methods.
